Buakaw, Pakorn and Manachai ready For All-Star Fight!
Bangkok is heating up with the debut of a new fight promotion, All-Star Fight: Elite Fighter. The Muay Thai capital is all set to hold the monthly event which is organised by the Buakaw Banchamek Gym along with Kunlun Fight from China. With superstar Buakaw as the promoter, the event looks set to take the Muay Thai scene by storm. Fighters from the Banchamek Gym will fill most of the fights for the first event premiering this Sunday 20t August and Buakaw has been hard at work in preparing them for this project. The star himself will of course make a ring appearance and he is set to take on 27 year-old challenger, Azize Hlali. The French-Moroccan fighter’s last 2 notable appearances saw him defeated by Pethmorakot Petchyindee and Saenchai in YOKKAO 21 and Phoenix 2 Fighting Championship respectively.
However, Azize is by no means an easy match. He holds wins over many of the industry’s best such as Singdam, Kongsak, and Singmanee. This matchup will certainly be a highlight of the event. YOKKAO Fight Team members Pakorn and Manachai are also set to take the stage alongside Buakaw at the inaugural All-Star Fight. As reported earlier, Manachai will square off against Iranian fighter Vahid Shahbazi. Pakorn will face Brazilian fighter Julio Lobo who fights out of Phuket Fight Club. Both foreign fighters have been fighting actively in the Thailand circuits and like Azize, have all fought Saenchai in recent years. Pakorn and Manachai will certainly not take the fight lightly and have been training full-force at the camp to seal a debut win at the new fight promotions. Today’s weigh-in at Pathumwan Princess Hotel, registered Buakaw at 70.2kg, Pakorn at 66.1kg and Manachai at 65.1kg.
The first All-Star Fight will be televised through both national and international TV stations. It is Thailand against the world this Sunday 20th August at All-Star Fight: Elite Fighter 1. FREE tickets at the YOKKAO Training Center in Bangkok.
