The YOKKAO Fight Team strikes again with a double victory over the weekend.
First up on 8 March, Saenchai made his first fight appearance in UAE as the main event at Fight Night Dubai. The living legend took on Valerii Abramenko from Ukraine in a welterweight bout for 3 rounds under full Muay Thai rules.
Abramenko is an European Muay Thai champion and up-and-coming fighter known for his high knockout rate. The Ukrainian went the distance but fall short of a win, marred by the dominating performance from Saenchai. After three exciting rounds, all judges scored in favor of the Thai legend who put on a memorable display of his signature moves for the local fight fans.
Back in Thailand, Spencer made his promotional debut for All Star Fight on Saturday, 9 March in Bangkok. Organized in partnership with the Royal Thai Army, the special World Soldier edition of All Star Fight attracted a massive crowd made up of both local and foreign fans.
The event featured many of Thailand's biggest names in fight sport including Buakaw, Superbon, and Yodwicha from the Banchamek gym. Superbank Mor Rattanabandit, who is due to headline YOKKAO 37 later this month, also made his appearance on the stellar All Star fight card.
After capturing the WBC European title in January, Spencer extended his winning streak with a victory over his opponent, Maksim Petkevich. The Belarusian fighter proved to be a tough and formidable foe in the ring, with over 100 amateur fights on his record. Spencer was able to exploit his opponent's holes in defense, scoring with decisive kicks to be awarded the win by points to the delight of his fans who attended the show.
