The countdown to YOKKAO 29 - 30 begins as the first confirmed match up has been made official by YOKKAO UK promoter and YOKKAO. Multi-time world champion and Thai legend, Singdam will go head to head against UK fan-favourite, Reece McAllister. The weight for the fight has been set to 65,5kg. Reece McAllister is a name that needs no introduction for the UK Muay Thai fans. The 25 year-old holds a number of world titles and has fought many of the sport’s big names like Fabio Pinca and Mike Zambidis. McAllister trains and fights out of Phoenix Gym, run by his father, Gary McAllister.
McAllister senior himself is a former UK number 1 Muay Thai fighter and now runs the gym full-time while acting as a trainer for his son. Last year, McAllister shocked the Muay Thai community when he announced his retirement from fighting and pulled out from a title fight at YOKKAO 20 against Jordan Watson. YOKKAO 30 will mark his return to the ring in a big way as he gets matched with Thai powerhouse, Singdam. With over 300 fights in his career that includes 270 wins and numerous titles at the highest level, Singdam is certainly not the warmest welcome for McAllister in the ring.
YOKKAO 30 will also mark the end of a 2-year absence in UK since Singdam’s last fight back in 2015. There is no doubt that both fighters will resolve to mark their return with a grand victory. With a home crowd rallying behind the comeback kid against the more experienced Singdam, this is certain to be a hell of a battle. Lock the date of March 10 2018 as YOKKAO 29 - 30 hits the Bolton Macron Stadium for a Saturday of thrilling Muay Thai action. Watch this space and follow YOKKAO on social media for all more updates on the coming event.
