MANACHAI BECOMES NEW WMO WORLD CHAMPION AFTER ROUND-4 KO

Manachai Becomes New WMO World Champion After Round-4 KO

Two months away from the ring and Manachai is truly coming back stronger with two back-to-back knockout victories. Just two weeks after a dominating KO win on YOKKAO Fight Night Bologna, he is doubling down by bringing home another finisher along with the WMO world championship belt.

Manachai took on fellow Thai fighter, Traithep LSM99MAX at the renowned Lumpinee Stadium on 17 December. Matched at 145lbs, both fighters were on a mission to capture the esteemed WMO title.

As soon as the bell went off, Manachai left nothing to chance unleashing his signature low kicks. It was clear that he was looking to end the fight but the tough Traithep held his own with strong teeps, taking full advantage of his reach. Manachai put on the pressure, easily taking the first two rounds had it ended on points.

Traithep picked up the pace in round three to match his opponent’s, turning the fight into a clinch war on account of his taller stature. Manachai was not to be outdone, matching knee for knee as intensity builds and throwing in a barrage of elbows.

Manachai took things up another notch in round number four, putting on the pressure before finally ending the bout with a stomach punch. Traithep was dropped, unable to continue and the referee concluded the faceoff, with Manachai’s hand raised and waist wrapped with the WMO world championship belt.

Manachai’s next fight will see him back in Italy on 25 January 2020 where he will take on the WMO European champion, Pasquale Amoroso at YOKKAO 45-46. The double event also features a stacked card, hosting names like Saenchai, Singdam, Yodchai, Cristian Faustino, and many top Italian fighters.
