FIGHT CAREER

Liam Harrison began training in Muay Thai at the age of 13 at the famous Bad Company Gym under Richard Smith. He quickly made waves in the UK circuit and by the age of 17 had already turned professional.
His aggressive, hard-hitting style—particularly his signature leg kicks—became his trademark and left opponents struggling to last all five rounds.
On August 21st, 2005, Harrison made his long-awaited Thailand debut at the Rajadamnern Stadium, facing native fighter Witthayanoi Sitkuanem. Although he suffered his first professional loss, the defeat only motivated him to improve.

He relocated to Bangkok and trained at Jitti Gym, where his mentor had once trained. Within a month, Harrison faced Dzhabar Askerov at Patong Stadium, where he claimed his first win on Thai soil after Askerov was disqualified in round four. Harrison also took home the Patong Stadium Muaythai Super Welterweight Belt (68 kg)—a title above his usual 63 kg fight weight.

From 2006 to 2010, Harrison divided his time between Thailand and the UK, fighting regularly across various stadiums and promotions. In 2006, he added another world title to his resume by defeating Masamitsu Hirashima via decision to win the W.P.M.F. World Title (63.5 kg). The following year, he secured the prestigious WMC Muay Thai Lightweight World Title, which he held until 2009, when he lost the belt to four-time Rajadamnern Champion Anuwat Kaewsamrit.

Since 2011, Harrison has expanded his reach, fighting around the world in countries such as the USA, Italy, Macau, Japan, China, and the UK.

He made his YOKKAO debut at YOKKAO 8 in 2014, where he defeated French fighter Houcine Bennoui. By that time, he had already become a WBC World Champion (147 lbs). On March 19, 2016, he headlined YOKKAO at Bolton’s Macron Stadium, facing Tetsuya Yamato in an intense, closely matched bout. Harrison won by decision and claimed the YOKKAO World Title (65 kg).

Over the years, Harrison has fought in major promotions including YOKKAO events in the UK and ONE Championship. His bouts are known for their intensity, often ending in explosive knockouts or thrilling wars of attrition.
Even with his long list of titles, Harrison is most praised for his fighting spirit. Whether winning or losing, he gives his all, making him one of the most respected and loved fighters in the sport.
